- The substrate must be firm, permanently dry, stable, non-slip and free of release agents. Soft or non-adherent layers must be removed and cracks must be closed with a force fit. The surface must be smooth, have a flatness according to DIN 18202 Tab. 3, line 4 and a uniform absorption behavior.
- Observe the requirements for the substrate in accordance with DIN 18365, section 3.1.1.
- The substrate must be prepared so that it meets the requirements for laying a flooring.
- The optimal processing conditions are room temperature +15°C to + 25°C, floor temperature +15°C to +22°C, rel. humidity 40% - 65%, material temperature +18°C - +22°C, sufficiently ventilate working rooms.
- Drafts must be avoided.
- Shake the contents well.
- The color effect and texture are largely determined by the application and surface coating. To assess the color and overall visual effect, we recommend creating sufficiently large sample areas and, if necessary, obtaining approval from the client.
- Observe general and, if necessary, product-specific occupational health and safety regulations. Further information can be found in the GISCODE-related operating instructions which are available under www.wingis-online.de.
Thinner / Mixing
The mixture is ready for use and must not be reduced!
Drying time
- Can be walked on with caution and reworked after at least 12 hours. Wait until completely dry.
- Drying times are valid for +20°C and 50% relative humidity.
Preparation
- Remove any loose coats. Substrates with unevenness, cracks and/or residual moisture must be prepared and/or levelled in a similar way to the substrate preparation for flooring.
- Pre-treat substrates with LOBA StylePrep undiluted, application quantity 80-120 g/m². Drying time min. 2 hours.
Application
- Shake liquid component well and pour into a clean mixing bucket. If needed, add LOBA StyleColor to the liquid component before mixing. Add powder component while stirring and mix clump-free for 3 minutes with the LOBA Double Paddle Mixer. After a 2-minute maturation time, stir the mixture again. After mixing, workable for 40 minutes. High temperatures shorten the working time.
- Do not stir the mixed material again during processing, as this can cause noticeable color differences.
- Apply layer using LOBA Trowel blade S1, guiding the Master trowel as vertically as possible to achieve the required material application amount.
- Replace the trowel blade in time, ensuring full wetting to guarantee the recommended application amount. Smooth the tooth grooves with LOBA Texturing brush, alternatively with LOBA Venetian trowel.
- Drying min. 12 hrs.
IMPORTANT: Only walk on the uncoated surface with shoe covers, alternatively with adhesive film on the sole of the shoe. Contamination and humidity affecting the surface may become visible after surface treatment. - Sand the surface using a single-disc machine and double sanding disc P 120.
- Sand evenly, avoiding polishing individual areas.
- Vacuum the surface.
- Care must be taken to ensure that the vacuum cleaner, floor nozzle and suction hose do not leave marks on the surface.
- Apply 1 coat of LOBA StyleBase.
- Allow to dry for at least 3 hours, wait until completely dry.
- Then apply surface treatment to achieve the desired look/function.
